Why does the target school change the preparation?
Because the papers are not the same. Queen Elizabeth’s, Barnet has tested English and Maths only, with no reasoning papers at all. The Henrietta Barnett School has tested verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and English in its first round. Two selective schools, the same borough, materially different preparation.
This is why the free assessment asks which schools you are aiming for before anything is planned. Preparing for the wrong paper is wasted time your child does not have.
Admissions arrangements change — The Latymer School, for instance, has announced a move to Quest Assessments for 2028 entry. Always confirm the current format in the school’s own admissions policy for your child’s year of entry. Information on this page last reviewed .

Is 11+ preparation group or one-to-one?
11+ preparation is one-to-one, because entrance exam work is specific to the schools a family is applying to and to the papers those schools set.
Our Harrow centre also runs small-group Saturday sessions in Maths, English and Science, capped at six students. Those groups strengthen the underlying Maths and English that entrance exams draw on, but they are a separate programme with their own pricing — they are not 11+ preparation in themselves.
