Anti Bullying Policy

Anti-Bullying Policy

At GradeSmart Tuition, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for every student. Bullying of any kind — whether online or in person — is not tolerated under any circumstances.

Our goal is to ensure all students feel valued, protected, and confident. This applies to every child, regardless of age, ability, race, religion, gender, or background. All tutors and staff are trained to recognise signs of bullying and to uphold our safeguarding standards.

What Is Bullying?

Bullying is any repeated behaviour intended to hurt, intimidate, humiliate, or isolate another person. This can include:

• Physical bullying such as hitting or pushing

• Verbal bullying such as insults, threats, or name-calling

• Social or emotional bullying such as exclusion or manipulation

• Cyberbullying, including harmful or threatening messages, sharing embarrassing content, trolling, or online harassment

Bullying can have a serious impact on a child’s wellbeing, mental health, and academic performance, and we treat all incidents seriously.

Preventing Bullying

We work proactively to prevent bullying by:

• Promoting kindness, respect, and positive communication

• Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels heard

• Encouraging students to speak up if something feels wrong

• Training tutors to recognise and respond to early signs of bullying

• Maintaining a clear behaviour code for all students and tutors

We encourage all students to treat one another with empathy and understanding.

Reporting Bullying

If a student experiences or witnesses bullying, we ask that it is reported immediately.

Reports can be made by students, parents, tutors, or staff. Once a concern is raised, we will:

  1. Acknowledge the report quickly

  2. Investigate the incident fairly and thoroughly

  3. Take appropriate action, which may include warnings, parental contact, or removal from the programme

  4. Provide support to the affected student and, where appropriate, the student involved in the behaviour

Any incident suggesting a safeguarding risk will be handled in line with our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.

Diversity and Inclusion

We celebrate diversity and believe all students should feel safe and respected. We are committed to:

• Ensuring no student is discriminated against

• Welcoming learners from all backgrounds

• Creating an environment where differences are understood and valued

• Promoting inclusive and respectful behaviour in every class

Working Together

Preventing bullying is a shared responsibility. Students, tutors, and parents all contribute to maintaining a positive and safe learning environment.
